Photo Submission Guidelines

You can get your photos on the WBA website in several ways. The easiest, and probably fastest, is to post them to your favorite web photo sharing site (like Flickr.com) and then email the link to the webmaster

You can also prepare photographs for posting on the WBA website and email those to the webmaster. Photos should be optimized for web delivery at 72dpi and should not be larger than 800x600 pixels in size. Files sizes should be less than 80k to 100k, saved for web as .jpg files. Each photo should also be saved in smaller "Thumbnail" form with a hieght of 150 pixels. The filename of the thumbnail should be the same as that of the original photo, but with "-t" added. Example: mypicture.jpg (picture) and mypicture-t.jpg (thumbnail). Please limit your photo submissions to 20.

If these guidelines are totally Greek to you, perhaps the photo sharing site would be the best option. The web site is maintained by volunteers and, unfortunately, there is no paid staff available to optimize photos for the web site. If you would like to learn to optimize your photos for the web site, or would like to volunteer to optimize the photos of others for the site, please contact the webmaster.
