Sprint Fun Race Results

Many thanks to Mike Lunenschloss, Jim Fletcher, Jim Slyfield, Jay Bender and all the others who pitched in to make this well attended event a success (over 20 in attendance). It was a chilly day, but with hot drinks and great people to share the outdoors with, all seemed to have a good time.

A great many novice shooters and skiers came out and learned the sport. Thanks to all the experienced athletes extending your patience and guidance during the day. Athletes worked in buddy teams, one on the firing line, the other on the scope with the shot clipboard, practicing range procedures and marksmanship. At the end of the day a short sprint race was held, using our new race bibs for the first time. (Thanks again to Mike Lunenschloss for those!) Two heats were necessary given the large number of participants, even though a few bagged it early and chose not to race.

Be sure to put the next two event dates on your calendars.. Feb. 26-27, and March 12-13, both at Stevens Pass Nordic Center. Details of those two day events will be announced soon, but the dates are set. Something tells me it will be warmer for those. We look forward to seeing you there!
